ELOPE TO STEWART ISLAND
After almost a decade capturing love stories across Australia & New Zealand I've found my way to a special part of Aoteroa. Through unexpected paths crossing thanks to the ocean and a shared passion for it I found myself on a boat called Gravity in Rakuira (Stewart Island).
I fell in love with this place immediately. Everything is done on "Island time", the kindness and warmth of the local community is beyond what anyone could expect. The beauty in its ruggedness and the sheer abundance of life here is astounding. I knew that I had to share this special place, which is why I'll now be offering tailored elopement packages for couples and their closest loved ones.
The Gravity Experience
There are many ways to make the most of this spectacular island but few experiences match that provided by Gravity and her captain Nate Smith. Spend the day exploring the beauty of Rakiura from the water sustainably harvesting your own fresh kai moana and have it prepared for you by some of the best chefs in New Zealand. Have your ceremony on the same day and get dropped off at stunning remote locations or simply enjoy the day as a honeymoon experience of a life-time.
Getting there
Stewart Island has regular ferry crossings daily from Bluff. You can also fly directly from Invercargill and take things in from the sky.
